Joining the AOCA is easy:

  1. Choose from the categories below. Once you click on the Join AOCA button, you will be taken to an application.
  2. Create a Username and Password and fill out the application.

ACTIVE - $300 (special offer for AOCA 70th Year Anniversary)

A Doctor who has completed either an American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) approved residency training program in anesthesiology, and who holds a valid license to practice medicine and who shows evidence of active practice in anesthesiology. 

ASSOCIATE - $300

Physicians whose professional activities are in a specialized field cooperating with, or allied to osteopathic anesthesiology (and/or) Available to any person who does not meet the criteria for Active Membership that has demonstrated a sincere interest in anesthesiology and the College. 

1ST YEAR PRACTICING - $175

DOs who have completed their residency program and are now in their first year of practice.

TRAINEES (STUDENTS, RESIDENTS, FELLOWS) - FREE

People actively engaged in a Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) approved residency training program in anesthesiology and full-time students desiring to pursue a career in anesthesiology.

RETIRED - FREE

No longer in active practice-including but not limited to employment-related to the medical degree (i.e. academics or administration, besides practicing) 

LIFE MEMBERSHIP

An honorary membership level that is bestowed upon a doctor who is 70 years of age and has been active in the College for 25 years or more.  Upon receiving a request, the Membership Committee will review and make a recommendation to the Board of Governors (BOG).  Final approval is up to the BOG. LIFE members do not pay annual dues but still pay AOCA Active Member rates to attend CME meetings sponsored by the AOCA.
