AOCA Membership

Be an active part of a growing network of osteopathic physician anesthesiologists, residents, and medical students dedicated to providing whole-person, empathic care. As a member of the AOCA, you’ll have opportunities to increase your understanding and knowledge of anesthesia, build your leadership skills, exchange ideas and collaborate with like-minded physicians. Cost - $375
A doctor who has completed either an American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) approved residency training program in anesthesiology, and who holds a valid license to practice medicine and who shows evidence of active practice in anesthesiology.
Cost - $350
Physicians whose professional activities are in a specialized field cooperating with or allied to osteopathic anesthesiology (and/or) available to any person who does not meet the criteria for Active Membership that has demonstrated a sincere interest in anesthesiology and the College. 
Cost - $175
DOs who have completed their residency program and are now in their first year of practice.
Cost - $25
People actively engaged in an Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) approved residency training program in anesthesiology and full-time students desiring to pursue a career in anesthesiology.
Cost - Free
No longer in active practice-including but not limited to employment-related to the medical degree (i.e. academics or administration, besides practicing). Must have been a paid Active member for at least one year before moving into retired status. 

Retired membership status is awarded to Active members who retire from practice. Requests for retired status may be made electronically to the AOCA’s headquarters at [email protected].
Cost - Free
AOCA Fellow’s who have been a member in good standing with the AOCA for a minimum of 25 years and have reached the age of 65 can apply for Life Membership. For more information and to apply, Click Here.
